MAGDALEN WEEDE

Mrs. Magdalen Weede, who has been ill for about two weeks with heart and liver trouble, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 1915, at her home in Indianola. Her body was brought to St. Charles Saturday morning.

Besides her family, it was accompanied by Rev. Wilson, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, Mrs. Proudfoot, Mrs. Margaret Nicholl, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Mayberry, Jim Hossack and Mrs. Coulter, of Indianola, and M. R. Baird and wife and Miss White of Des Moines.

Mrs. Weede was one of the pioneer settlers here, but for the past six years has lived in Indianola. Services were held in the United Presbyterian church, where she formerly worshiped for about forty years, and the remains were laid to rest between her husband and little daughter. Her husband preceded her eighteen years.

All her children were with her during her illness and attended the funeral, except Irwin, who lives in Idaho.

Note: The name Magdalen transcribed as printed on obituary. Gravestone spelling is Madalene at St. Charles cemetery
