Jefferson Shutt, who has been very poorly for a long time, died last Tuesday night at the home of his son, W. R. Shutt, east of town, at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 29 days.

Funeral services were held in the Christian church last Thursday. He leaves two brothers, three sons and three daughters to mourn his death.

County News - St. Charles

Jefferson Shutt, who has been a resident of this community for a number of years and who has been in poor health for some time died at the home of his son W. R., in the Story point neighborhood southeast of town Tuesday night of last week.

Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ here on Thursday conducted by Rev. L. R. Gans, of Murray, former pastor of the church here after which the body was laid to rest beside his wife who preceded him in the St. Charles cemetery.
