Word was received here last Saturday of the sad death of Lois Van Scoy of Boone. He had been taken to the hospital at Nevada and was operated on with the above results. His remains were brought back here and the funeral services held in the M. E. church Monday afternoon and interment in the St. Charles cemetery.
Mr. Van Scoy was 40 years, 4 months and 11 days old. He leaves an aged mother, wife, 2 little girls and five sisters to mourn his loss.
