Page 1An old time resident of Winterset, Mrs. William Clark of Des Moines, died last week and the remains were brought here for burial on Saturday.
She was the widow of William Clark, a wagon maker of this place, who lived here about 40 years ago.Mrs. Clark, who was 85 years old, was visiting at the home of her son, Fred, in Winfield, Kans., at the time of her death. A daughter, Mrs. Grace Clark Scarff of Enid, Okla., who will be well remembered by former schoolmates, accompanied Fred Clark here for the services. Other children could not be present.
Mrs. Clark was one of three sisters, who were past 80 years of age. The second sister, Mrs. Nesbit, died yesterday; the third is Mrs. Henry Shull, now of Sioux City, formerly of Des Moines, mother of D. C. Shull, well known here.
Mr. Shull and C. E. Hann of Des Moines, attended the funeral services of Mrs. Clark, whose body was laid beside that of her husband.
