Page 1The remains of Asa W. Ryner were brought to Winterset for burial from Kansas City, Okla., where he died on Dec. 29th. Rev. E. B. Chancellor had charge of the funeral services, which were held on Saturday.
Mr. Ryner and family were residents of Madison county, Mrs. Ryner’s death occurring here in 1890. Five children survive their father.

Page 3Asa W. Ryner was born in Groveland, Ind., May 18, 1855 and died at Kansas City, Okla., at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 11 days. He came with his parents to Iowa in the fall of 1864.
On March 27, 1877 he was united in marriage to Mary Williams, and to this union were born three sons and two daughters, all of whom are living. The companion died at Winterset, Feb. 16, 1890. The children are J. W. Ryner, Sioux City, Iowa; J. H. Ryner, Wadena, Canada; Mrs. F. A. Vosheer, Chicago, Ill.; E. E. Ryner, Butte, Mont.; Mrs. O. B. Benson Idaho Falls, Idaho.
More distant relatives and old friends and neighbors extend their sympathy and good will.
Brief funeral services were conducted by E. B. Chancellor, pastor of the Church of Christ on Saturday morning. Burial was held at the North River U.B. cemetery.
