Mr. Cumpston was a retired civil service livestock inspector.
Born in Winterset, Iowa, he moved to Central Florida in 1979. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, DeBary. He was a member of F & AM, Redfield, Iowa.
Survivors: wife, Muriel; daughters, Geneil Elaine Mestad, Waterloo, Iowa, Kay Eloise Bruning, Orlando; sons, Dale, Lawrence, Kan., Duane, Fort Myers, Lou, Arlington, Va., Darrell, Bolivar, Mo.; sister, Margaret Hansen, El Canyon, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.
