MRS. REBECCA CRAWFORD

Rebecca Phillips, born April 2, 1842 departed this life April 26, 1918. She was married Feb. 26, 1865 to Joseph P. Crawford, who departed this life Feb. 12, 1916.

She was converted in September, 1894 and joined the M. E. church at Webster, of which she was a devoted member to the day of her death, living not for herself, but giving herself to a life of service. Many are better men and women because she lived and many in that day will rise up and call her blessed.

She raised six children of her own, two daughters and four sons: Charles Crawford, Jonathan S. Crawford, Elizabeth A. Estle, Ellis Crawford, Ada M. Crawford, Solomon P. Crawford, all of whom are living. She also raised six children besides these, nieces and nephews, who were left to her care. Only one of them has gone before. These eleven children, with five grandchildren and one great grandchild , with friends far and near, are left to mourn, but not as they who have no hope, for they have not said farewell, but just good night, awaiting the morning of the resurrection, when we shall awake in His likeness and the family shall be reunited to part nevermore.

Funeral services were conducted from the home Sunday afternoon by Rev. H. C. Adams. Burial at the Roberts cemetery.
