Winterset Madisonian – April 12, 1923
Pg 1William Rowe of Macksburg was found dead in his bed on Sunday, April 8th. His daughter, Mrs. Oren H. Knight, with whom he was living, had prepared breakfast. Mr. Rowe did not reply to the call and Mr. Knight went to his room to awaken him. He was dead and had been so for about two hours, no struggle being evident. He had been around all day Friday and had appeared as well as usual. Mr. Rowe had been having neuritis, which caused his death it is thought.
Mr. Rowe, a son of the late Martin Rowe, is survived by two sons, ----- and Maurice, both of Colorado and are on the way to Iowa, and a daughter, Mrs. Knight.
Funeral arrangement have not been made yet, waiting the arrival of the sons.
Note: Burial was made at the Moon Cemetery, Madison County, Iowa.
