Dies in California

Word has been received here announcing the death late last week in California of Mrs. J. W. Cluen, formerly of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Cluen have made their home in recent years in Des Moines, but on account of ill health, the latter has, for the past few years, sojourned in California, while her husband remained in Iowa in the employ of the Rock Island railroad as locomotive engineer. The remains will be brought to Winterset for burial and will reach here today or tomorrow.
