Brought Here for Burial

S. N. Hindman, an old resident of Webster township, died at his home near Colfax last Saturday and on Monday the body was brought here for burial. The funeral occurred at the Maple Grove church and interment was made in the Wight cemetery.

Mr. Hindman was an old and honored resident of this county, coming here in the latter sixties and living here continuously until about three years ago when he moved to a farm near Colfax. Mr. Hindman was 69 years old and leaves eight children by his first wife and three children by his second wife, also the widow and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. The many friends here extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Mrs. S. N. Hindman and three children, Delno, Aletha and Floyd, Dora Gibbs, Mr. Dodd, Harvey Hindman, Miss Pearl Smith and Miss Dodd, all of Colfax, Albert Hindman and wife, of Des Moines, and Mrs. Bertha Smith, of Winnie, S. D., and James Buchanan, of Adel attended the funeral of S. N. Hindman at Maple Grove Monday. Rev. Purett, of the M. E. church, of Colfax, conducted the services and interment was made in the Wight cemetery.
