Word was received in Truro Monday, of the sudden death of Mrs. Belle McMartin; better known here as Belle Likens, at Utica, N.Y.
Her death will be deeply mourned by a large circle of friends as she was born and grew to womanhood in Truro.

The people of this vicinity were very much startled when last Monday, October 35th, they received news of the death of Mrs. McMartin of New York City. Mrs. McMartin, formerly Miss Bell Likens of Truro, and later of Des Moines where she was married, was very popular and had many friends in both places.
Mrs. McMartin having married but seven weeks was but 22 years of age, and died as the result of an operation.
