Lorene B. Wilson, age 87, died Mon., May 7, 1990, at the Phillips County Good Samaritan Center at Malta, Mont., of cancer and had been in ill health since August of 1989.
Born in Peru, Iowa, September 1, 1902, to Omer and Kate Beverlin, she grew up in Iowa and married True St. John on June 10, 1924, and they moved to Malta in 1938. He preceded her in death in 1945. She married Theodore R. "Ted" Wilson August 14, 1952, in Malta. She owned and operated the Suzie Q Dress Shop in Malta in the 1950s. They moved to Polson in 1962 and returned to Malta in 1988 to make their home. She was a talented artist and seamstress and has five pictures of Iowa covered bridges hanging in the Truro, Iowa Library. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and dancing.
Survivors include her husband, Ted of Malta; three daughters, Rosalie Porter of Malta, Elaine Brayton of Jeneau, Alaska, and Eva Mae Hendrickson of Great Falls; three brothers, Corwin Beverlin of Winterset, Carroll Beverlin of Peru, and Jim Beverlin of Newton; two sisters, Reva Thomas of Denver, Colo. and Bernice Freeman of Truro; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eloise St. John; two brothers, Dale and Robert Beverlin; and a sister, Lois Hennemen.

MALTA—Lorene B. Wilson, 87, a homemaker, artist and former dress shop owner, died of cancer in a Malta nursing home Monday.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Adams Funeral Home. Burial will be in Malta Cemetery.
Born in Peru, Iowa, she grew up in Iowa and married True St. John in 1924. The couple moved to Malta in 1938. He died in 1945.
She married Theodore R. Wilson in 1952 in Malta where she owned and operated the Suzie Q Dress Shop. They moved to Polson in 1962 and returned to Malta in 1988.
Five pictures she painted of Iowa covered bridges are displayed in the Truro, Iowa, Library.
