Joshua Rhodes, an old soldier 72 years of age, died last Thursday, May 22d, at the home of Z. G. Cooley where he has been making his home for the past three months. Mr. Rhodes is a brother of Sam. Rhodes of Lincoln township, and is well known by the older inhabitants. Of late he has been staying at the Soldiers’ Home in Marshalltown.

The funeral occurred Saturday, conducted by Rev. J. H. Stewart and interment was made in the Rock City cemetery.
