Mrs. Ruth Wilkinson Buffington, youngest daughter of Judge and Mrs. Wilkinson, of this place, died at her home at Buell, Idaho, last Friday after a short illness. Mrs. Buffington was born and raised in Winterset where she has a large circle of loving friends who greatly mourn her untimely death. The remains will reach here today and the funeral services will be held at the Wilkinson home tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.

This community was unusually shocked on last Saturday afternoon by the announcement of the death of Ruth Wilkinson Buffington, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Wilkinson, at her home near Buhl, Idaho. While she had not been in good health for several months past, her condition was not considered dangerous and the announcement of her death was a surprise and shock to her friends and loved ones here.
She was born in Winterset thirty years ago, attended our public schools and after graduation, completed her education in music at Simpson college. She was a lovable young lady, endowed with more than ordinary grace of character that endeared her to everybody and in her untimely death, the community deeply sympathize with the bereaved family.
She was married five years ago to Frank Buffington, and near Buhl, Idaho, these happy young people began housekeeping on the husband's ranch. She leaves a little daughter, aged four years.
The body will be brought here this evening for burial, the funeral party reaching Des Moines at 6:50 this morning. Funeral services will be held at the Wilkinson home tomorrow, Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Allen Judd of Des Moines, assisted by Rev. J. S. Corkey of Winterset, will conduct the funeral services.
