Brought Here for Burial

Edward Gleason, a former resident of Webster township, died Jan. 2nd, at the home of his son, F. E. Gleason, at Donnan, Iowa. The body was brought here last Saturday by Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Gleason and he was laid to rest beside his wife in the Rock City cemetery. Mr. Gleason was a member of the 22nd Wisconsin Vol. Infantry. He was confined for three months in Libby prison, and was with Sherman on his march to the sea. He was well known here among the G.A.R. boys, who extend their sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
