Vance Walker, a long time resident of the city and a veteran of the civil war, died at his home in the southeast part of Winterset last night. He had suffered for a long time and through it all bore his affliction with true Christian fortitude and carefully awaited the final summons. Funeral services will be conducted from the home tomorrow afternoon at two o’clock.
