St. Charles

Clem McGinnis, a lifelong resident of this vicinity and known to most everyone here, was found dead Saturday night in bed at his brother John’s in Des Moines. He had been in his usual health until that evening when he became somewhat indisposed and went to bed. It is thought perhaps he might have had a stroke of apoplexy from which he did not rally.

The funeral of Clem McGinnis who died in Des Moines Saturday night was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the M.E. church, Rev. Barnes in charge. Interment was in St. Charles cemetery.
