Death of Mrs. A. E. Goshorn

Mrs. A. E. Goshorn died at the Goshorn home in this city on last Sunday morning, after a long illness and intense suffering from the most dreaded of diseases, cancer. Her health began to fail about one year ago. Last December, she went to Chicago, where the services of a specialist were secured and an operation undergone. Relief was only temporary and a second visit to the Chicago hospital in May of this year, discovered the fact that the disease was beyond the services of human skill.

Mrs. Goshorn was born in Winterset in 1864. She is survived by the husband, A. E. Goshorn publisher of the Winterset News and four children, Mabel, Robert, Katharine and Martha. Of her parental family, there remain her father, W. R. Shriver and two brothers, A. B. Shriver of Los Angeles, Calif., and J. G. Shriver of this place.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
