Death of EMILIE STEEL BUCHAN

Mrs. Emilie Steel Buchan died at her home in Palo Alto, California, on the 28th of May. A baby boy one day old at the time of the mother's death is the price of the sacrifice of a beautiful young life, filled with promise. The announcement of Mrs. Buchan's death is a sad message to many people in Winterset. Emilie Steel was born here. Her unusual beauty and loving disposition endeared her to all. About five years ago, the family moved to California, and about two years ago, Miss Steel became the wife of Mr. Buchan.
