Miss Francis Kilgore, sister of the Kilgore boys of Monroe township, died on Wednesday of last week, after an illness of but a few days. The older Kilgores settled in Monroe township in an early day and have been vaciously identified with the development of that section of Madison county. H. H. Kilgore, a brother of the deceased was for two terms a member of the board of supervisors.

Miss Kilgore was born in Jones county, this state in 1849. For many years, she was the mainstay and home maker for the brothers who with neighbors and friends are bereft of the companionship of one unselfishly devoted to the duties of life.

Note: Burial was made in the Hamblin cemetery.
