PATRICIA LOU KIDDOO, ATWATER, CALIFORNIA

Patty Kiddoo, 75, of Atwater, Calif., died Aug. 2, 2010, at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 7, at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson, Calif. She was cremated.

Patty was born May 15, 1935, in Adair County, Iowa to Clifton and Doris (Walker) Mitchell. She started her education in a rural school in Adair County until 1943, when she moved with her parents north of Winterset, and attended DeSoto school until 1946. Patty moved with her mother and brothers to Winterset after her father was in a fatal farm accident November 1945. She was in the Winterset High School class of 1953. Patty married her high school sweetheart, Bill Kiddoo, Dec. 28, 1952, at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. She then moved to California with her husband, who was stationed there in the Navy. She finished her senior year, graduating in Vallejo, Calif. Patty worked with her husband in their Fast Frame business until they sold it.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Bill, of Atwater, Calif.; three daughters — Michelle (Mike) Grgich of San Jose, Calif., Randi (Mike) Esau of Denair, Calif., and Kerri (Jim) Plutchak of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two brothers, Wendall (Chris) Mitchell of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Dale Mitchell of San Jose, Calif.; nine grandchildren —Heather Grgich (Ismael Herranz-Lopez), Anthony, Amber and Lindsay Grgich, Becki Esau (significant other Danny Woodhall), Jeffrey (Kim) and Gregory Esau, Timmy and Peggy Plutchak; one great-granddaughter, Cali Woodhall; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Kiddoo of Macksburg, Iowa.

Her family meant everything to her. She will be missed so very much.
