Obituary

Harris Branscombe Green was born in St. Joseph county, Indiana, Feb. 27, 1824, and died at his home in Winterset, Iowa, Jan. 26, 1911, aged 76 years, 11 months and 29 days. He came to Iowa about 41 years ago.

On Nov. 15, 1877, he was united in marriage to Mary Kephart, who preceded him to the other life just 6 weeks ago dying Dec. 15, 1910.

Mr. Green was a soldier in the Civil War, enlisting in Co. A., 33d Reg. Ind. Vol. Infantry. Two children survive—Harry and Mabel.

Funeral services were conducted at the home, Jan. 28, 1911 by Rev. L. F. Davis, and interment was in Rock City cemetery.
