Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18, for Fred E. Bice, 65, of rural St. Charles. Mr. Bice died of a stroke at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola Sunday morning, February 16, 1975.
Fred Eldon Bice was born at Polk City, Iowa. He lived in Urbandale for 30 years prior to moving to St. Charles nine years ago.
A laborer at the Ford Implement Company until his retirement in 1969, Mr. Bice was affiliated with United Auto Workers Local 450 in Des Moines and was a member of the V.F.W. Post at St. Charles.
Survivors include his wife, Edith, of St. Charles; a son, Richard E. Bice of Truro; and a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Cutshall of Van Meter. Other survivors include two brothers: Paul and William, both of Des Moines; four sisters: Mrs. Mary Christianson, Mrs. Myrtle Wells and Mrs. Alice McMains, all of Des Moines, and Clara Bice of New York; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, at the Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial in the Glendale Cemetery.
