Catherine McCrea, age 88, passed away on July 1, 2010 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Family greeting and visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the Parish Hall.

Catherine was born on the Steve Murphy farm South and West of Churchville to William and Gladys Wiedmann. She was a graduate of Martensdale high school. Catherine was united in marriage to Mr. Philip McCrea and lived her adult life near St. Charles, Iowa. She was devoted to her family, loved music, enjoyed reading, crafts, spending time with her friends and family, her garden, cooking and flowers.
Catherine will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Preceding her in death was a daughter Linda Dale; two brothers, Paul Wiedmann and William Wiedmann Jr. She is survived by her husband Phil; son Jim, his fiance Yvonne Healey of Trumbull, Ct. and his children, James, Christopher,and Elyssa of Peoria, Az., daughter Marcia McCrea of St. Charles: daughter , Jeanne McCrea and her husband Randy Welle and their children Pearl and Lily of Port Townsend, WA.; son Bill and his wife, Mary Jane and their daughter, Alena of Port Orchard, WA, grandsons, Steven Thrall and Neil Miller; sisters, Dorothy Jefferies of Des Moines and Irene Frueh of Winterset.
Memorial contributions will go to St. Marys Fire and Rescue Dept.
