LINDA LOU KRULL BENNETT, Johnston

Linda Krull Bennett, 59, passed away at home in Johnston, Iowa on Thursday, May 27, 2010.

She was born in Forest City, Iowa on November 21, 1950, the daughter of John "Jack" and Minnie Liverca Krull. She grew up in a farm family of eight children and graduated from Britt High School. Linda attended business school in Ft. Dodge and subsequently worked for several years at a chiropractic office in Perry before her marriage. She was most recently a long time employee of Farm Bureau where she worked in account billing.

The joy of Linda’s life was her two children, Brandon and Rachel, who she loved supporting in their activities and pursuits and seeing them grow and mature as they accomplished their many goals. She had a deep appreciation for the rural life, the outdoors, her family and her faith. She enjoyed cross stitching and her pets. She remained a positive person even as her health declined in recent years.

Linda is survived by her two children, Brandon and Rachel of Johnston; and her brothers and sisters, Larry Krull (Vi) of Anamosa, Carol Stone (Marvin) of Grinnell, Gene Krull (Mary) of St. Croix Falls, WI, Sharon Drake (Tom Lonsdale) of Ames, Donna Ennis of Ames, Dennis Krull (Dima) of Ankeny, and Janet Drake (Steve) of Ankeny.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Faith Center – Ankeny First United Methodist Church: 7384 NW 16th St. in Ankeny. Hamilton’s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Note - Information received from Bennett family: Linda was married to Norman Bennett in September, 1982, and they lived on a farm in Penn Township, Madison County, Iowa. They were later divorced.
