Death of Lena McDaniel

Miss Lena McDaniel, the sixteen-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ward McDaniel, died last Sunday after only a week’s illness from typhoid fever. Miss McDaniel was not considered dangerously ill until Sunday morning when hemorrhage of the bowels set in. She was one of the brightest young girls of Winterset and a general favorite among her associates. The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Corkey. The stricken family have the deepest sympathy of the community.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
