Page 3Death of Miss Jona Danner
Jona Emily Danner was born and raised her whole life in Winterset, passing to her reward at the home of her sister, Mrs. L. Williams on April 3d after a very brief illness. She was a loving devoted daughter and sister, giving her whole life to doing good deeds for others.
She leaves to mourn her loss four sisters, Mrs. L. Williams, Mrs. B. F. Yates of Winterset, Mrs. Joyce Kendig, of Des Moines, and Mrs. R. L. Moore of Minneapolis, and two brothers J. M. of Salt Lake, Utah and C. E. of Doniphan, Mo., besides many other relatives and friends.
The family are grief stricken as another sister, Mrs. D. G. Ratliff, died very suddenly in October 1909, and Mr. Yates in Feb. 1910, making the third death in the past five months. Three sisters, Mesdames Williams, Yates and Kendig were with her during her illness and all that loving hearts and hands could do was done. A beautiful life has gone from us but its influence will ever abide. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved relatives.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the home of her sister, Mrs. L. Williams, conducted by Rev. Davis, of the Church of Christ. Interment was made in the Rock City cemetery.
