Death of T. M. Darnell

Word was received here this morning of the death at Indianola last night of T. M. Darnell, formerly of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Darnell left here last fall for the west to spend the winter with Mrs. Darnell’s son, W. H. Swafford. They had returned and were visiting Mr. Darnell’s sons at Indianola where his death occurred. He was in Winterset a few days ago negotiating for the purchase of a property, intending to again make this place their home. We understand he did not buy. We have no particulars beyond the bare fact of his death.
