Virgil Clark Dies In California

Virgil F. Clark, a former Madison county resident, died Jan. 27 at Woodland Hills, Calif., after a 2 year illness with cancer. He was 54 years of age.

Mr. Clark was born in Madison county Feb. 1, 1917, a son of Harvey and Edna McDonald Clark. He was a veteran of World War II, and for 27 years had worked as a coordinator for Universal studios in Los Angeles.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Thalia; four stepchildren; his parents; three brothers, Albert Clark of Winterset, Robert Clark of Norwalk, and Eugene Clark of Kansas City; and a sister, Beatrice, of Glendale, Calif.

Funeral services were held at the Burbank Funeral home in Burbank, Calif., Jan. 29. Burial was made in the Burbank cemetery..

Contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Madison county Cancer society by contacting Mrs. Dale Callison of Winterset.

Albert Clark of Winterset left by plane last Tuesday to be with his brother in California. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clark of Norwalk and Mrs. H. S. Clark left Friday to attend the services.
