Eva Maxine Headrick, 92, of St. Charles died May 1, 2010, at the Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held today at the St. Charles Parish Church with Dr. John Lewis officiating. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Charles Parish Church or Hospice of Central Iowa Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Funeral arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Home of Osceola.
Maxine Headrick was born Feb. 5, 1918, in Madison County to Yvetta Black and was a graduate of St. Charles High School. Her marriage to John Henry Headrick took place March 16, 1937, in Des Moines. In addition to being a farm wife, Maxine worked as an accounting clerk for Farm Bureau in Des Moines for nearly 16 years. A lifelong resident of the St. Charles area, she was a member of the St. Charles Parish Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Miller of Clive and Joyce Smull of Lakeland, Fla.; one son, Gary Headrick of Liberty, Mo.; and six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
