Obituary

Alice Martha Nunan, daughter of John Nunan, of Douglas township, was born in Adair County, Iowa, Feb. 21, 1887, and died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Margaret Smith, at Oskaloosa Aug. 8, 1909, after an illness of a years duration of stomach trouble. A change of climate and all that loving friends and relatives could do was done with no avail. She was a graduate of the Oskaloosa high school and college. The news of her death will be received with profound sadness by her large circle of friends in this city.

She was a young lady of a lovable disposition and kind ways and she made hosts of friends. She is survived by her father, two sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss. The funeral occurred Tuesday from the St. Marys Catholic church at Oskaloosa.
