HOWARD R. FAUST, Mount Ayr

Howard Faust, 83, died on April 20 in the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, IA.
A family visitation will be held in the Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr starting at 5 p.m. Thursday with a funeral service being held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Adel with Military Rites being conducted there.

Howard was born May 28, 1926, at Winterset, IA, to John and Ruth Faust. He served during World War II with the U.S. Army

He lived for a time in Chariton, IA, and Knoxville, IA, before retiring to Mount Ayr. He worked for a time with Prudential Life Insurance out of Des Moines and for several years at the VA Hospital in Knoxville, IA.

Surviving Howard are his wife, Kathryn Faust, of Mount Ayr; son Steve Faust of Urbandale; step-children, John (Shiela) Starmer of Prole and Mary (Randy) Arnold of Ankeny; four grandchildren and a sister Kathryn Chartrand of Mount Ayr. He was preceded by his parents and a brother Claire.
