Marjorie Kjelland, 88, of Bentonville, Ark., died April 18, 2010.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 24, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, Ark.
Marjorie Kjelland was born July 4, 1921, in Madison County, Iowa, to Perry and Evelene (Lane) Benge. She grew up in Iowa and was a 1941 graduate of Winterset High School. Her marriage to Lawrence Petersen took place Nov. 22, 1945. Following his death in 1980, she later married Tom Kjelland. Marjorie was a longtime employee of the Firestone Company. After retiring from Firestone, she moved to the northwest Arkansas area. Marjorie was a member of the Sweet Adelines singing organization.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, Lawrence Petersen and Tom Kjelland, and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two stepsons, Bruce Lester and Brian Lester; a brother, Eddie Benge of Winterset; and one stepgranddaughter.
