DORIS GARLAND, MISSOURI

Doris B. Garland, 91, of Blue Springs, Mo., died April 18, 2010, at Centerpoint Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 23, at Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. Burial was at Blue Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First United Methodist Church, 301 SW Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO.

Doris Garland was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Patterson to Dennie and Nell (Blosser) Pace. Her marriage to Leslie Garland took place May 4, 1943. Doris worked for many years as a teller at the Blue Springs Bank. She also was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blue Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and a sister.

She is survived by her children — Michael Garland and Dan Garland, both of Blue Springs, Mo., and Nancy Miller of Richland, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
