BOBBI MCNAMARA, WINTERSET

Barbara Jean “Bobbi” McNamara, 78, of Winterset died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. The body has been cremated, with the cremains being interred in the Winterset Cemetery.

Bobbi was married on Aug. 10, 1970, in Indianola, Iowa, to Michael McNamara. She had been a lifetime resident of Winterset and had worked as a bartender and had been a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset.

Bobbi is survived by her husband, Mike McNamara of Winterset; daughters, Connie (Paul) Bindel of Winterset, Vicki Tibben of Des Moines, Toni (Dave) Moon of Winterset, and Lyla Fish of Pella; brother, John T. Reed of Winterset; aunt, Freda Sexton of Pleasantville; grandchildren — Chad McFarland, Tax McFarland, Trevor Bindel, Justin Tibben, Amber Shultz, Kerry Wood, and Kirk Moon; and great-grandchildren — Libby Bindel, Lane Bindel, Kaylee Wood, Jayden Tibben, Demetrio Tibben, Killian McFarland, Cade McFarland, Hunter McFarland, and Rayvon McFarland.

Bobbi was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Silverthorn Miner; grandparents, Weaver and Tressa Silverthorn; brother, Richard Reed; sister, Sandy Jacobs; aunts, Bernice Silverthorn, Ruth Montgomery, and Lois Newton; and uncle, Keith Silverthorn.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Memorials given to the family will be directed to Middle River Hospice.
