Death of Wm. Monroe

Wm. Monroe, of Peru, died Monday after an illness of a few days. In the death of Mr. Monroe Madison County loses another of its old and highly respected citizens. The funeral occurred today at the home in Peru.

East Peru

Wm. Monroe died Tuesday after a short illness and the funeral was held from the M.E. church Friday conducted by his former pastor, Rev. W. W. Williams, of Mingo. The remains were laid to rest in the Ebenezer cemetery.
