MARY LANDINE

Mrs. John Landine, whose maiden name was Mary McClannahan, was born in Henderson county, Kentucky, Dec. 10, 1849. In 1872, she was married to William Smith. She was left a widow, in 1895 with six children, four sons and two daughters. In 1901, she was married to John Landine, who with one daughter are left in the home made desolate by the loss of a wife and mother.

The immediate relatives left are the husband, four sons, Rankin Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; Will of Memphis, Tenn.; Arthur of California; Percy D. of New York. The daughters are Mrs. Lucy DeLong of Grinnell, Mrs Mary Vance of Buxton and Ellen at home.

Mrs. Landine was a kind friend and neighbor, and by her winning ways and kindness to all with whom she came in contact, has made many friends, who will sincerely sympathize with the bereaved family in their great sorrow.

When young she united with the Christian church and during her long and painful illness, often espressed her faith in God, and her readiness to meet him. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Jan. 30th at 2:30 p.lm. Conducted by Rev. L. F. Davis. Interment in Rock City cemetery.
