Harley F. Armstrong

Indianola, Iowa - Services for Harley F. Armstrong, 58, of Indianola, who died of emphysema Saturday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Overton Funeral Home here. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Armstrong moved to Indianola from Des Moines 13 years ago. He retired from Armstrong Rubber Co. in 1977 and was a member of United Rubber Workers Local 164. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Dena; two sons, James of Des Moines and Timothy of Indianola; a daughter, Peggy Holmes, of Des Moines; two stepdaughters, Teresa Violett of Norwalk and Beth Freeman of Derby; his mother, Ella Gibson, of Osceola; two brothers, Robert of Portland, Ore., and Wayne of Berryville, Ark.; seven sisters, Dorothy McClure and Shirley Addy, both of Marshalltown, Hattie O'Brien of Kansas City, Kan., Fern Lymon of San Fernando, Calif., Beulah (Jean) Veasman of Indianola, Janet Strable of Wick and Bonnie Northcutt of Newton and ten grandchildren.

Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
