Dewey Campbell, a former resident of Winterset, died at a hospital in Portland, Oregon Tuesday morning, according to the word received here.
Mr. Campbell underwent surgery for a malignancy three months ago and has been seriously ill since.
He was associated with his brother, Arthur Campbell, in the Winterset Welding Shop for several years before moving to Portland.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Otis Chew and a brother, Arthur Campbell of Winterset.
