Mrs. Mary Harwood, an old and honored resident of Madison county, died at her home two miles west of town on the evening of the 25th. The funeral services were held in the M.E. church, of which she had been almost a life member, conducted by her former pastor, Rev. Grinyer, of Waukee.

Note: Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
