Marie F. Johnson, a resident of the Horton Nursing Home since Dec. 1957 died New Year's Day. She was 78 years of age.
A daughter of William and Chloe Johnson she was born Nov. 25, 1893 in Bridgewater, Iowa.
Her death occurred at Madison County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Jan. 4th, from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, with Kenneth Helmers officiating. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
