W.D. CLARK

W. D. Clark an aged resident of Des Moines who died on last Thursday was brought here for burial on Monday. The deceased was a resident of this place about thirty years ago and followed the trade of blacksmith.

Several relatives including his two sons, Fred and Joshua, accompanied the remains. The sons are ball players of national reputation, Fred is manager of the Pittsburg national league team and Joshua plays with Toledo.

The deceased was a brother-in-law of D. Shull and Deloss Cutler, who were former resident of this place and now live in Des Moines.

Note: Burial in the Winterset cemetery. Surname transcribed as printed. Name on the gravestone is Clarke.

Des Moines, Ia., Nov. 7. - William D. Clark, father of Fred Clark, manager of the Pittsburg baseball team, and Joshua Clark, signed with Cleveland and last year with Toledo, died here today, aged 79 years.
