Barney

Samuel Simpson died Wednesday morning at three o’clock. He had been sick for some time and his death was not unexpected. He was one of the oldest settlers of this neighborhood and was loved and respected by all.

He leaves a wife and a large family of sons and daughters, all married, besides a host of other relatives. This is a double bereavement as his daughter’s husband was accidentally killed last Sunday and was buried Tuesday, and he was laid by his side Thursday in the Barney cemetery. The family have the heartfelt sympathy of all their friends and neighbors.
