S. D. Jones Commits Suicide - Found By Neighbors After Several Days

Last Friday afternoon, Clarence Hodson and Art Summer had occasion to call at a house occupied by S. D. Jones, located near the old Vance farm in Lincoln township. When they entered the dwelling a gruesome sight confronted them. Jones was reclining in a chair and dead. The two men immediately called the sheriff, who immediately repaired to Jones had been dead for some time, the place and upon inquiry found that possibly several days. The undertaker was summoned and the body turned over to him. From some circumstances the sheriff concluded that Jones had committed suicide by drinking carbolic acid.
