Ed Schirm Died At St. Charles Sunday

Ed Schirm, a farmer for many years, died at this home near St. Charles Sunday at the age of 53 years.

Mr. Schirm was a native of Adair county, where he was born July 11, 1884, the son of Mathew and Anna Schirm.

He moved to Madison county as a young man, farming for many years in Lincoln township. Several years ago he moved to the farm near St. Charles.

He was married Dec. 1, 1915 to Edna Trowbridge, who survives. He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Schirm of Greenfield, two sons, Philip and Harold, both at home, one daughter, Dorothy Raleigh of Los Angeles, Calif., two brothers, Charles of Adair county and Alf of Winterset and a sister, Mrs. Emma Hepler, of Greenfield.

Funeral services were indefinite as the Madisonian went to press Wednesday, pending the arrival of relatives.
