Joseph Harwood, an old and respected citizen of this community, died Wednesday after a lingering illness and was buried Friday. The funeral services were held from the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Grinyer.

Peru

Uncle Joe Harwood, who had been seriously sick for the past two months, died on the 9th and was buried in the Peru cemetery on the 11th after appropriate funeral services in the M.E. church. Rev. Grinyer, who had gone to Clarinda to attend the M.E. conference was called home to preach the funeral.
