Sarah Jane Tisdale was born September 6, 1829. She was married to William McConkey May 8, 1851. She was called home to the "Many Mansions" Feb. 27, 1907.
She was the mother of seven children, all of whom have preceded her except one. She leaves to mourn their loss, one daughter, three sisters, and Mother Tisdale.
She united with the Baptist church early in life and remained a constant Christian until death. The funeral services were held from the home of James Abrams, conducted by Rev. E. E. Bennett of the Christian church. The remains were laid in their last resting place in the Baptist cemetery north of Winterset.

Page 5, Column 2Mrs. McConkey, wife of Wm McConkey, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Almond James, Wednesday. The funeral will occur today.
