Helen A. Klingler, 90, of Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, formerly of Dwight, died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday (July 6, 2000) at Heritage Manor, Dwight.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, the Rev. Pamela Gnasch-Boythe officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Dwight. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and also for one hour before the service Saturday, both at the memorial home.

Memorials may be made to Congregational Church or Dwight Senior Citizens.

She was born Dec. 18, 1909, at Winterset, Iowa, a daughter of Newton and Nettie Brunskill Baughman. She married David Forrest Klingler on July 29, 1937, at Crown Point, Ind. He died March 28, 1998.

Survivors include one daughter, Trella Maxwell, Glendale Heights; two sons, Robert (Florence) Klingler, Dwight; and James Klingler, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one sister, Mary (Russell) Jacobs, Streator.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Becky Gish, John Klingler, Sandi Clark, Gary Maxwell, Larry Maxwell, Waren Klingler, Wayne Klingler, Steven Klingler, Sonica Taylor and Pam Holiday.

Her parents, one son, three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Klingler had worked at Klingler's Jewelry Store, Dwight, before retiring in 1985. She volunteered at the William Fox Developmental Center, Dwight.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Congregational Church, Dwight.

She was educated at Esmen Township Country School and Pontiac Township High School. She graduated from Illinois State University, Normal.
