Blaine K. Tucker, 91, of Branson, Mo., died Jan. 5, 2010.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 11, at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Skaggs Regional Health Center, of which Mr. Tucker was a board member for a number of years, or Hospice Compassus, both of Branson, Mo. Blaine Tucker was born Nov. 7, 1918, to J. Ira and Mattie (Cochran) Tucker of Macksburg. His marriage to Darlene Goodman took place Aug. 14, 1941. Blaine served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He received two Purple Hearts and numerous other honors. Blaine was a farmer in the Winterset area for many years. In 1969, he and his wife purchased Rinehart Meats and moved to Branson, Mo. in 1970.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean C. Tucker, and four sisters — Helen Walter, Eleanor Wickstrand, Kathryn Kyner, and Jean Perkins Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of Branson, Mo.; one son, Thomas K. Tucker of Branson, Mo.; one daughter, Becki Bradford, of Springfield, Mo.; one foster son, Tom Phillips of Rogers, Ark.; three siblings, Max Tucker of Macksburg and Ruth Tucker and Keith Tucker, both of Winterset; and one granddaughter.

Blaine K. Tucker 91, passed away January 5, 2010. He was born on November 7, 1918, Macksburg, Iowa, as the sixth child of nine to J. Ira and Mattie Cochran Tucker. August 14, 1941 Blaine married Darlene Goodman.
He served his country in the army during WWII. He received two purple hearts and numerous other honors. Blaine was a farmer in the Winterset, Iowa, area for many years. In 1969, he and his wife purchased Rinehart Meats and moved to Branson, Missouri, in 1970.
Blaine is predeceased by both parents, J. Ira and Mattie Tucker. Brother, Dean C. Tucker; sisters, Helen Walter, Eleanor Wickstrand, Kathryn Kyner and Jean Perkins Greenwood.
Surviving is his wife, Darlene of 68 years and son, Thomas K. Tucker of Branson. Daughter, Becki (Bob) Bradford and granddaughter, Megan Blayne Ogle all of Springfield. Foster son, Tom Phillips (Laurel) of Rogers, Arkansas. Also, surviving siblings, Ruth Tucker, Keith (Ethel Lee) Tucker all of Winterset and Max (Mary Jo) Tucker of Macksburg.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, January 10, at Ochiltree Funeral Service and Aftercare, Winterset, Iowa, where the family will be present during these hours. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 11 at the First United Methodist Church, Winterset, Iowa. Interment will be in the Winterset Cemetery.
