Shirley Mae Bush, 73, of Winterset died Jan. 1, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Jan. 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
Shirley Bush was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Wynot, Neb., to Vincent and Veronica (Burbach) Klug. She was married to George Houlette and after his death, she married Wray Bush. Shirley worked at Winterset Care Center North for over 30 years, helping prepare food for the residents. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, George Houlette and Wray Bush; and two brothers, Don and Gayle Klug.
She is survived by her siblings, Leon Klug of Creston, Keith Klug of Des Moines, Lyle Klug of Indianola; and Terry Klug, Vicki Cameron and Sid Klug, all of Winterset.
